Compact Track Loader Rubber Tracks - CTL, MTL & Posi-Track
TFI Tracks stocks replacement rubber tracks and drive sprockets for compact track loaders, MTLs, and Posi-Tracks, covering Bobcat, CAT, ASV, Kubota SVL, John Deere, and more. A CTL runs a steel-cored, sprocket-driven rubber track built to handle heavy-duty, abrasive Aussie worksites, so fitting the right track and keeping your sprockets in good order is what keeps the machine moving.

How CTL Rubber Tracks Work
A compact track loader combines a conventional steel-core rubber track with a drive sprocket and wide, high-flotation track rollers. It runs a little less smoothly than a purpose-built Posi-Track system, but it is more impact-resistant and better suited to the heavy-duty, abrasive conditions common on Australian sites. The close-bar tread pattern on a quality CTL track delivers real advantages:
- Reduced vibration for a smoother, more comfortable ride
- Increased traction and flotation across mixed terrain
- Less damage to finished and sensitive operating surfaces
- Longer service life: more protection for the vital track carcass against sharp objects and stakes.

CTL Track Tread Patterns
- Block Pattern: most versatile, great for mixed terrain and construction sites
- C-Pattern (Aggressive): maximum traction in soft, muddy, or loose conditions
- Bar Pattern: strong drive performance on harder compacted surfaces
Why CTL Tracks Wear Faster
Compact track loaders generate more lateral stress from skid-steer turning mechanics – pivot turns scrub the outer lugs aggressively. Key takeaways:
- CTL tracks typically have shorter service life than excavator tracks
- Operating technique significantly affects wear: tight turns on hard surfaces accelerate lug wear
- Track tension management is critical: undertension causes derailing, overtension stresses the undercarriage
- Regular inspection catches issues before they become expensive
